Sphere at the Venetian Resort The 18,600-seat auditorium is being marketed for its immersive video and audio capabilities, which include a 16K resolution wraparound interior LED screen, speakers with beamforming and wave field synthesis technologies, and 4D physical effects. The venue's exterior also features 54,000 m2 of LED displays. The Sphere measures 112 m high and 157 m wide at its broadest point. Sphere is a one-of-a-kind entertainment destination made possible by the collaboration of 22nd century technology with the world’s greatest artists. Sphere opened September 29th with the first of 25 performances by U2, followed this October by the debut of The Sphere Experience featuring Postcard from Earth, the latest from director Darren Aronofsky. Sphere will host a wide variety of Las Vegas entertainment events, including original immersive experiences, concert residencies, marquee sporting events, corporate events and more.
