The main trade event organized by the committee is the annually held USA Seminar / Workshop for travel professionals. The other important annual trade event for the Discover America Committee is MATKA - International Travel Fair where members of the Discover America Committee exhibit and promote travel the U.S. Further information on the committee and its activities can be found from our homepage.
USA SEMINAR
The annually organized USA Seminar for travel professionals is the only trade event in Finland selling the United States as a destination. The seminar consists of lectures given by guest speakers from different United States travel destinations, and a workshop. Mainly targeted to the Finnish travel professionals, the seminar is also gaining popularity among the travel professionals in the Baltic countries and Russia.
The Discover America Committee Finland members receive a table free of charge at the workshop, which is organized in conjunction with the seminar.
