Mikäli Yhdysvalloissa olevan matkailijan sähköinen matkustuslupa ESTA on umpeutumassa ja lentoyhtiö perunut lennot, on tilanteeseen vedoten mahdollista hakea jatkoaikaa. Mahdollisen jatkoajan myöntämisestä päättää USA:n rajaviranomainen @CBP.
